Hubby and I enjoyed a Valentine's Day brunch at Traders Point Creamery this past month. Now, I have been to TPC before, but never upstairs in the dining room. When we walked up the stairs, it was everything that I hoped it would be. A combination of rustic meeting sophistication. Clean pressed white linens mixed in with the natural wood beams and tables. Simple floral around the room, all surrounding the Dairy Bar.
Though we didn't make it to the Dairy Bar, we were seated after a minor wait (we had reservations) to a table in the corner. Hubby ordered chocolate milk (he couldn't pass it up, after all, we were at a Creamery!) and I ordered the Pom Mimosa. Both of us were ecstatic with our selections once they arrived. The pom wasn't overly sweet, and the champagne was the perfect balance to any tartness that would have come through.
For our meals, hubby selected the brioche sandwich they were featuring, 'the Mr.' He is a huge fan of breakfast sandwiches, and this was the biggest sandwich I have ever seen him order for brunch. The brioche was crisp and perfectly toasted. Farm fresh eggs and cheese, with the perfectly cooked bacon. Love that all of the meal was local, it just adds something special. His sandwich also came with a side salad. Perfectly dressed with crisp veggies, he let me have a few bites of the deliciousness.
I on the other hand, ordered the wild mushroom crepes, highly recommended by our server. And after my first bite, I could see why! The mushrooms, perfectly sauteed with fresh herbs, was a mixture of shiitake, crimini, and oyster. This beautiful trio was mixed with capriole goat cheese...and it was heaven in my mouth. The crepes were cooked to perfection, with the right thickness and sweetness that could be had.
Though service was a little slow (they were very busy due to the holiday,) the meal was utterly fantastic. We grabbed many of their menus on the way out (tapas anyone?!) and are excited to return for another organic and local treat!
